Two Times Love Is One (Jonas Rendbo/Lynden David Hall) You introduced me to the deuce State of bliss – sweet kiss That high i really need For me – no higher than this With this devil on my shoulder and this monkey on my back Tho im tryin to make a million Im not feeling contracts You put it on me Tattoed your love on me permanently Its there in your eyes I can see right thru it I cant disguise Two times love is one Im burning in your sun Soul shine spirit free When you make me believe Two times love is one When all is said and done You’re my perfect company You made me kill another cool Change my game – thats the rule Now my cards are in the open I should have know – Im such a fool You delivered me from pain Kept a brother sane – I must resist This wickedness of man Milk & honey land cant compare to this You put it on me... Two times love is one... I’d spent my last days with you If there’s ever a worry We can work it through Two times love is one...
2.
Chariot 05:17
Chariot (jonasrendbo/kevinmarktrail) Step by step I make my way Thru this ghost town Try not to look Its best to keep My head down When the cold wind blows In the city And above is only Grey clouds So right and left we go Searching for the light That will carry us home A trumpet sounds I hear it in the distance now A trumpet sounds Tell me can you hear it now? I need to see to believe… Chariot – chariot Come forth to carry me home Chariot – chariot Help me to carry the load I got a bag full of money And girls sweet like honey But nothing satisfies my soul My heaven’s on fire I need to get higher But I’m cold Come forth to carry me home Im blending in Becoming one with the Walls now Im watching them They’re all trying not To stand out While we’re dancing round In circles Trying to figure out Who is the prey So on and on we go Moving further from the light That will carry us home
3.
Crash And Burn (kevinmarktrail/jonasrendbo) I know everybody’s got their problems Its hard when you’re feeling all alone You should try to reach out for somebody Mine is a hand that you can hold Fly with me, high above the ground You will see we are lost and found From this view we all look the same And only a few are controlling things Come and walk with me There’s people dying, and grown men lying Take in all you see Homeless children, who will save them There’s a lesson to be learned Discrimination, war and hatred Or we’re gonna crash and burn Are we gonna crash and burn? Everyday it seems to get harder And situations get you down Getting nowhere you’re just treading water Trying to scream, got to get out Fly with me, take it to the sky Way up high, there’s just you and I Get away from this earthly place When its too much staying in this race (Chorus) Think its time to plant a seed Cause contrary to their beliefs I believe in common man We’ll find peace and understanding They try to lead us astray But they wont take my joy away Got to find hope in ourselves We refuse to live in hell Not gon’ let them keep us down Not gon’ let them shut us out Let every voice be heard Its time to spread the word (Pre-chorus 1 - Chorus 1) Come and walk with me Desperation, fallen angels Take in all you see Chasing paper, slavery labor There’s a lesson to be learned You know you ought to love thy neighbour Or we’re gonna crash and burn I don’t wanna crash and burn
4.
Balance On The End (Quilter/Rendbo/Fridell) To say the unsayable The wait begins again Waiting for you to speak Everything stops, like traffic in heat Oh is it already monday The scent of you still sits Like chocolate on my tongue Hungry for more of you again Oh I must be going crazy The time between the waking and sleeping Where life comes into play Im so used to feeling your breath on me Thats the time I miss you more And the balance on the end Just when I thought that it was easy You start it over again And I dont feel like making up, right now Even tho its the best part Could you just sit still And enjoy the moment Forget that time is asking All the things we cannot answer Oh did you just leave again? The time between the waking and sleeping... I just checked in, and you checked out How hard can it be to get it right Im sure this could be so much easier But we both like to tear everything apart The time between the waking and sleeping...
5.
Electric 03:50
ELECTRIC (Jonas Rendbo, Marc Nelkin) I DON’T KNOW WHAT THIS FEELING IS NEVER FELT SOMETHING QUIET LIKE THIS I’M ON A HIGH I DON’T KNOW WHY ALL I KNOW IS I CAN’T RESIST GO AND DO YOUR TRICK DON’T KNOW WHAT IT IS BUT I’M LOVIN” IT I’M LETTING GO OF EVERYTHING YOU TAKE CONTROL OF ME BIT BY BIT I’M ELECTRIC WHEN YOU TOUCH ME FEEL A SHIVER IN MY BONES SKIP A HEARTBEAT HIGH ON YOUR ENERGY THAT’S THE WAY YOU MAKE ME FEEL YOU GOT ME ELECTRIC IT’S ELECTRIC I DON’T KNOW WHAT I’M GONNA DO I’M SO CONFUSED DON’T HAVE A CLUE CAN FIND MY WAY DON’T KNOW WHAT TO SAY EVER SINCE YOU GOT ME HOOKED ON YOU GO AND LEAD ME ON I WILL PLAY THE FOOL THOUGH I KNOW IT’S WRONG IT DOESN’T MATTER TO ME WHERE WE GO CAN’T FIGHT THIS FEELING IT’S MUCH TO STRONG CHORUS CAN’T BELIEVE WHAT YOU’VE DONE YOU’VE FOUND MY SWITCH AND YOU’VE TURNED IT ON YOU TURNED IT ON CHORUS
6.
Hopes Are High (Jonas Rendbo, Roland Aki Lye Fook) Was it all just a dream So it seemed Only here for one minute Then gone with the wind Did I trip, or did I fall? I must have slipped Cause my ear’s to the ground And it seems I need to be hearing something Something you said was showing me Im not always living out my dream And now I know its not wrong For me to be dreaming of better things And so my hopes are high That’s the only way I stay alive In order to survive I keep looking to the sky Seems to be making sense In my world Maybe not in somebody elses But you cant win them all Privately for you to see I believe We’re all put here to do something And you’re gonna be what you leave behind Sometimes it seems my kindness is Simply mistaken for weakness I think we need positivety I’ll keep dreaming with my eyes wide open And so my hopes are high That’s the only way I stay alive In order to survive I keep looking to the sky
7.
Light My Fire (Paul Ewing / Jonas Rendbo) I’ve been scraping the floors Been asking for more than i could possibly need I been down on my knees But still so far from making peace with it And Im still searching Im still tryin to figure it out And I will get there Yeah I will get above the clouds Lift me up, I need to go higher Raise me up, so I can shine on Fill me up, with all I desire Cause I’ve been in the dark And I need a spark to light my fire I been drivin too fast Goin thru tunnels with no light at the end Trouble knocking my door Every time I seem so close to makin amends But Im still reaching Im still re-adjusting my sight And will get there Yeah I will get into the light Lift me up, I need to go higher... Oh - I cant make it on my own Pick me up I’ve been so low Like a king without a throne Cant find my own nowhere Oh – Something happened down the road I was so out of control Lost my sight of where to go But I know I will get there Lift me up, I need to go higher...
8.
Not What You Want (Jonas Rendbo, Nicola Quilter) It is a walk in the park Easy like bright summer days You’re making it hard We should be on the home straight It is the tide going out We’re in a wide open space But you’re closing down And stop where we should start Its all sown up But you’re coming apart Its not what you want But just what you need Its always on time Even if you don’t see You don’t wanna stay But cant seem to go You’re looking for change But still you keep holding on Its all right here You know its not that hard But its not what you want Its where the red lights turn green You close your eyes Cause you don’t know what it means It is a hop, skip and jump You want to make it a fall You keep giving up When you need to believe The water’s on boil But you keep throwing in cold Its not what you want...
9.
Whisper 03:33
Whisper (Jonas Rendbo, Kevin Mark Trail) If put down my bow and arrow And stopped playing cowboys and Indians Would you stay Child And if stopped the playful teasing Shared something I believe in Could I change Your mind Whisper I wont tell a soul Tell me how you feel Whisper You’re on the edge, you’re falling off How do I tell you how to stop Im watching The night chasing the day Am I still significant Our roles, to me, aren’t so clear Im doubting Running thru my head Whisper I wont tell a soul Tell me how you feel Whisper Can I hold your hand Make me understand Am I still the one Tell me we cant be undone Love you need to let me know Whisper I wont tell a soul Tell me how you feel Whisper
10.
Sensational 04:41
Sensational (Omar Lyefook, Roland Aki Lyefook, Jonas Rendbo) Blazing rays of light Blinding me Finding me – baby Im in your eyesight You got me On lockdown in a minute I couldn’t run away Even if I tried You got me so caught up Its not even funny – no Not forcing me to stay But somehow Im mesmerized Didn’t see this coming Could it be you’re sensational? It could be you’re sensational! Bring me back to life (x2) Your presence overcomes me Im coming over Completely in your space I picture you picturing me In my head I cant seem to erase I couldn’t see at first What you did To win me – win me over Im lost without a trace Cant go back This time I think The war is over Chorus - Vamp
11.
My Trust In You (Jonas Rendbo, Roland Aki Lyefook) I think we started out on the good foot As I understood we had an understanding Things were easy, things were good We both knew where we wanted to be landing Same mission – same goals Same love for the soul Same reasons to go Forward Going there – go on You ended elsewhere – you were gone Gone fishing on your own Im abandoned I lost my trust in you The things you do The things you say The games you play End of the line Im out of time No more to do I lost my trust in you You were busy making your own plans Counting on that I would be right behind you You’re sneaking round behind my back When the surface starts to crack Im discovering the real truth Same stories – same lies Same look in your eyes Same crazy alibies Not ratin How did it get – get to this You aim but you miss My aim is not to diss Im not hatin... but
12.
Time is working for you (Jonas Rendbo, Simon King) Too late I missed it My train has left Its no big deal Another one is on its way Im thru with rushing Running out of time Gonna take the backseat for a while Flashing lights, timetables Rotors under pressure Are we fooling ourselves Gonna take some time to decide Are we just slaves to the rhythm? Caught in the middle Where are we going? Only time will tell So why don’t we stop for a minute There’s no limits Take the slow lane It will happen soon Time is working for you Think we’ve departed Or right back where we started This doesn’t look like Anything I know Gonna make some changes Moving forward now Going where the road takes us Journey on forever Don’t care bout the weather Nothing stands in our way Its time for us to decide Are we just slaves to the rhythm... Better sit back for a minute Its out of your control When you’re gonna get it Just relax for a while And you will see things in a brand new light Are we just slaves to the rhythm…
13.
Too Close, Too Far (Jonas Rendbo, Kevin Mark Trail) We’re too close to realize At times we take for granted Love we think we own We’re too far to make a fire Is it too late to reach for love I just don’t know Other people just don’t get it If you cant love me like you said Love don’t live here like you promised Feels like Im walking with the dead Too hot to handle Too cold to hold Love if you don’t love me Let me go Too hot to handle Too cold to hold Love if you don’t need me Im knocking on the wrong door We’re too proud to sacrifice About to lose the best thing I have ever known Your eyes could never hide And as we walk away We both know that its wrong Im not searching for somebody Cause I found myself in you Now that Im right back where we started Trying to see your point of view Chorus If all is fair in love and war Then why cant we Why cant we work it out? Why is this so hard? Chorus

about

Danish singer/songwriter Jonas is destined for a fulfilled life in music. How does one begin to describe Jonas? Many adjectives come to mind from sultry to charisma. Yet still none of these quite emphasize his contribution to the world of soul music. Following his debut album “Sweet Dreams Guaranteed” Jonas is now returning with “WAITT”

“It’s very much inspired by the latest album by Al Green, which made me believe in soul music all over again.” – Jonas

Like many artists, life’s challenges, and enduring them with grace and determination, are at the core of Jonas’s music. A visionary and an entrepreneur, he has continued to challenge the hierarchy of the record industry and place for his music. Among many of its achievements, “Sweet Dreams Guaranteed” was listed in the Top 25 Soul Releases in the UK magazine ECHOES (January 2008).

His talent, ambition and focus is inwardly driven, though Jonas credits his father for keeping an amazing album collection, in which he discovered much great and diverse music. And music has been Jonas' passion as a child, urging him to play guitar, bass and drums. Don’t think Jonas is new to this industry either. He formed the band Jonz and landed a worldwide recording deal with Sony Music, all the way back in 1998. But like many other musicians, Jonas turned to the independent route.

The late singer/songwriter/musician/producer, Lynden David Hall co-wrote the track “Two Times Love is One.” Jonas says, “Being in the studio working with him was fascinating and taught me a lot. I dedicate this song to Nikkie Hall, cause I know that’s who Lynden had in mind when we wrote this song.” Other writers include Marc Nelkin (Corinne Bailey Rae), Kevin Mark Trail, Patrick Ewing and Nicola Quilter.

Soon as ”Hopes Are High” begins to play fans will find themselves swaying to this Caribbean fused cut, which was co-written with Scratch Professer. “This one is about keeping hope alive and staying positive,” which is the motto Jonas lives by.

The songs are well put together and can stand up to any comparison with the music of the competition. With live instrumentation and melodic vocals, this album will continue to be a classic for years to come.

The album features Jonas on lead vocals, long-time collaborator Daniel Fridell as the albums producer and playing keyboards, Mogens Palsboell on bass, Aske Jacoby on electric and acoustic guitars, Vicky Singh on electric and acoustic guitars, Marcus Liliequist on drums and percussion, Honey LaRochelle on vocals and Filip Runesson on violins and violas. “WAITT” is punctuated throughout with elements of Funk, Jazz, Reggae, Soul and R&B.

After honing his unique sound over recent years, Jonas is preparing to release his sophomore album, which underlies the changes he’s gone through. The biggest of these being his marriage to Carienne and the birth of his daughter Naja, which has been a blessing.

Now, all roads point to the U.S. for Jonas as he prepares to expound further beyond his European appeal, and make a stronger presence known in the U.S. market where he has already toured. Jonas’s touring schedule is increasing relentless, and he is finding himself more in demand than ever in venues across Europe and Africa.

Jonas has performed on stages with Omar, John Legend, Bilal, Sy Smith, Eric Roberson, Outlandish and the list goes on and on. Included with the CD is a “rockumentary” DVD with behind-the-scenes footage of the making of “WAITT” plus a music video.
